Gibson Price List from 1959

Over the last 15 years a number of 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standards have sold for anywhere from $100,000 (for some hard-worn examples) to over $1 million for Peter Green’s and Gary Moore’s legendary Burst.

These “holy grail” models made from 1958 and 1960 have become the stuff of legend amongst the guitar community and unattainable to most. However in 1959, although still pricey, you wouldn’t alway have had to sell you house to get one. As this Gibson price list for their full range of guitars from that famous year shows below.
