Check out the video clip below to see Deep Purple performing “Into The Fire” from their fourth album Deep Purple in Rock, in Germany in 1971.

The performance features the “Classic” Mk2 line-up of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord & Ritchie Blackmore. Who together, would go on later that year to record Fireball, as well as Machine Head (1972) and Who Do We Think We Are (1973) before Gillan would leave the group due to creative differences with Blackmore in early 1973, followed shortly by Glover.
