Stevie Ray Vaughan Guitar Lesson and Chat — Video

Filmed in the late 1980s, the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan talks to a British TV show  about his career up until that point and gives a rare up-close guitar demonstration featuring short renditions of “Rude Mood” and his cover of Stevie Wonders’ “Superstition”. As well as, highlighting some of the differences  between how fellow greats, Freddie King and Eric Clapton would approach the track “Hideaway”.

In a section of the video (which can be seen in the clip below) SRV also briefly speaks about overcoming his problems with addiction that caused him to ultimately collapse   in Ludwigshafen, Germany in 1986. At the time, it forced him to cancel the last 13 dates on his tour while he received treatment for substance abuse, however, Stevie would go on to stay clean and sober from October of that year until his untimely death in 1990.
