Vintage Online Lesson: Paul Gilbert – Intense Rock 1 (1988)

Released on VHS by REH back in 1988, Paul Gilbert Intense Rock was a must have for Gilbert fans and shred aficionados alike.

Uploaded to YouTube channel REIRBL, the one hour long video below takes you step by step through techniques that will enable you to play some petty terrifying licks. Focusing mainly on exercises and sequences for you to add some pretty incredible fast and clean alternate picking, 3-note-per-string scales, sweep picking and string skipping to your playing.

As a DVD package, Paul Gilbert: Intense Rock, Vol. 1 and 2 can be purchased on Amazon.com right here.
