Albert King and SRV “Born Under a Bad Sign” Live in 1983— Video

Back on December 6, 1983, Blues legends Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan recorded a live for television special out of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, that would later be known as In Session. However, this iconic musical partnership nearly didn’t happen.

Initially, King was apparently not going to do the show as he had no idea who Vaughan was. The great Bluesman hadn’t realized that SRV was actually ‘little Stevie’, the ‘skinny kid’ that he had let sit in with him, when he played in Texas a decade before. Of course, when Albert King remembered, he agreed to play, and the rest is history.

In the first of two clips below; the duo perform an incredible version of the classic,”Born Under a Bad Sign”. However, if you want to watch their whole fantastic set from that night, click the bottom video.
